1.Outlook – point of view/views/opinions

Sentence – Everyone should have an optimistic 
outlook towards life.


2.Scuffle – fight/struggle

Sentence – The teacher noticed two pupils scuffling 
in the corridor.

OR, the act or the sound of moving in hurried, confused, or shuffling manner

Sentence – He heard the scuffle of feet at his back.


3.Recede – to move or to go back/decrease/diminish

Sentence – The floodwaters had receded.


4.Deteriorate – becoming worse

Sentence – Few countries have gone through the 
deteriorating economic conditions.


5.Reconciliation – reunion; restoration of friendly relations/harmonize

Sentence – The reconciliation of the process should be 
consistent with the execution of business strategy.


6.Inevitable – unavoidable; certain to happen

Sentence – His response to other’s opinion was 
inevitable.


7.Sceptical – not easily convinced/dubious

Sentence – The public were deeply sceptical about 
some of the proposals by the government.
