– completely unreasonable, in a way that is shocking or annoying

are absolutely preposterous.
6. Ghastly – really bad, unpleasant
Sentence – Our trip was ruined due to ghastly
weather.
7. Yonks
– a long time; ages
Sentence – It’s been
yonks since I’ve last been here.
8. Golly
– used to express surprise
Sentence – Golly! Aren’t
you early?
9. Lavatory
– a toilet, bathroom

10. Helping – serving, an amount of food given to
somebody at a meal
